the heavily scheduled happy new year.

apologies for a long time without news. i've been moving to a new flat, traveled to Japan (it was amazing), and then prepared a new project with my long time partner JD Morvan. a project that i will have to handle in the same time i keep going on Luminae!
so yeah, it's been busy, and it's not going to get any better! imagine, for this coming year i have to finish Luminae vol.2, do 2 volumes of our new project, and see if i can squeeze anywhere in the middle a 2 volume short story with my friend Olivier Vatine - nothing decided yet there, but a promising little side project i'd like to tackle.
in the meantime, you'll find here today a proposition of cover for Luminae 2, some pages of the book, and also 4 pages of the other project with JD. enjoy!

tout d'abord désolé pour ma longue absence. j'ai déménagé, puis j'ai fait un tour au Japon (c'était fantastique), puis j'ai dû commencer à préparer avec mon acolyte JD morvan notre nouvelle série. un projet que je vais devoir mener en parallèle de Luminae!
donc oui, j'ai été occupé dernièrement, et ça ne va probablement pas s'améliorer! pour l'année qui vient, je vais devoir boucler Luminae 2, faire 2 tomes du nouveau projet, et au milieu de tout ça je vais voir si je peux m'occuper d'un petit one-shot en 2 tomes avec mon ami Olivier Vatine - encore rien de définitif de ce côté-là, mais j'ai bien envie de m'y coller.
en attendant, voici aujourd'hui ma proposition de couverture pour Luminae 2, quelques pages du tome, ainsi que 4 pages du nouveau projet avec JD. bon appétit!

Luminae vol.1 has now been printed, and release date is set on september 15th. in a couple days, i shall show you the pencils, or even the complete image for the cover. i'm not sure it works well as a cover, that's what happens when you debate with the publisher for everyone to be satisfied about the choice of an image...
anyway, i'm happy with the book, i have no idea what it's worth as there's many new parameters for me in this project compared to previous ones, and i count on readers to give me their opinion.
aside from that, the scenario for the spiderman piece i was supposed to achieve almost 3 years ago has been reworked and finished and i could have good news soon about it. hopefully, i will finally finish it and get it released someday. crossing fingers.

Luminae livre 1 est passé par l'imprimerie et la sortie sera le 15 septembre. d'ici quelques jours je posterai la couverture, ou au moins le dessin de couverture. je ne sais pas si ça fera vraiment une bonne illu de couverture, à vouloir mettre tout le monde d'accord entre auteur et éditeur, on n'est plus trop sûr de ses choix...
quoi qu'il en soit, je suis content de mon bouquin, je n'ai pas la moindre idée de sa qualité, avec tous ces changements par rapport à mes albums précédents, mais j'espère que ça plaira aux lecteurs et qu'ils n'hésiteront pas à me donner leur avis.
à part ça, le scenario du spiderman que j'avais commencé à dessiner pour marvel il y a presque 3 ans a enfin été retapé et bouclé, et il se peut que ça soit une bonne nouvelle très bientôt. j'espère enfin pouvoir finir de le dessiner et le voir publié. je croise les doigts.
à suivre très vite.

since angoulême, it's been very busy, and we've been switching studios with a photographer friend who's passing over a place twice the size as our previous one. as you'll see on pictures, it was hard to get work done easily, hence the lack of recent images.

depuis angoulême, l'emploi du temps a été lourd, principalement à cause de notre déménagement dans un nouveau local deux fois plus grand qu'un ami photographe nous a échangé. comme le montrent les images, dur de taffer dans ces conditions, d'où l'absence d'images récentes.

as you saw i've been absent for some time, this december is loaded, between work (mostly) and cataclysm (when i can). but dirty sundays are on their way soon again. merry holydays to all!

i'm getting involved with gorilla artfare, this artist community where great art is posted all over the place. to try and get some discipline in my production, i'll try to commit to their "dirty sunday" category.

je me suis engagé chez gorilla artfare, une communauté pleine d'artistes plutôt balaises. afin de m'inculquer un peu de régularité, je vais essayer de faire un de leur "dirty sunday" chaque semaine.
